Caronavirus

Here is my account of what happened with the caronavirus. The day I even figured out something was happening was when we were camping over spring break. My parents called my two younger siblings and me inside, and started talking about this disease in China, so I started listening. They said that it was a disease called the caronavirus, and that it was highly contagious. They also said that it had already spread to millions of people in China. That week at church some of the kids in my class started talking about it like it was a joke, and that was what I kind of thought it was because who would think that this caronavirus disease would travel across the world. Well, I was wrong. I soon figured out that there was already a case in Gregg County. I was honestly a little scared about it, but knew that it would not really harm my family because it mainly  affected older people. People have told me that it would just be like the regular flu for younger people. A couple days later I asked my dad where it had started, just out of curiosity, and he said it had started by bats. I knew bats could carry diseases, but I didn’t know they could cause a catastrophe like this.
