Jamestown or Plymouth

I would choose to live in Plymouth because they had a good relationship with the natives, and they grew in size, becoming the largest colony. They  had a three day lasting celebration meaning they had plenty of food. The start of Plymouth was with any type of human: men, women, and children, so families could go together.

The reason I would not choose Jamestown is because they did not have good soil for planting crops because it was to marshy. The colony nearly starved to death, and had to eat their own horses, dogs, and boots. One of the main reasons is because the colonists and the indians were not on friendly terms, so if they even tried to go hunting for food or even step out of the fort there would a shower of sharp arrows flying towards them. Jamestown was the first permanent settlement, so they had not learned anything about it from experienced people. One of the only way the colonists in Jamestown survived was when the colonists arrived the indians were kind to them and traded them for corn. The indians captured John Smith and he barely escaped death with the help of Pocahontas. Now you know why I would live at Plymouth rather than Jamestown.
